Obinna Prince Anum, Esq.

Principal Attorney

Obi Anum is a seasoned trial attorney with more than a decade of experience representing individuals, families, entrepreneurs, businesses, athletes, and creatives in high-stakes legal matters.

Admitted to practice in Florida, Obi handles a broad range of litigation and trial matters throughout the state, including family law, criminal defense, civil disputes, and other matters requiring experienced courtroom counsel. He also represents clients nationwide in non-litigation matters involving contracts, intellectual property, entertainment, and business strategy.

Raised in Los Angeles in a tight-knit Nigerian-American community, Obi developed an early appreciation for perseverance, creativity, and community—values that continue to shape his approach to the practice of law. He brings that perspective to every client relationship, combining strategic thinking, practical judgment, and direct communication.

Obi has spent much of his career in the courtroom. He has handled complex contested matters, appeared in hundreds of court proceedings, negotiated difficult resolutions, and represented clients through trials, evidentiary hearings, depositions, mediations, and other critical stages of litigation. That experience allows him to evaluate cases not only from the standpoint of what may happen in court, but also from the perspective of how preparation, leverage, negotiation, and timing can affect the ultimate result.

His practice is intentionally diverse. In Florida, Obi represents clients facing personal, financial, and business disputes where litigation may be necessary. Outside the courtroom, he advises clients across the country on contracts, trademarks, copyrights, business ventures, entertainment matters, and the protection and commercialization of creative and intellectual property.

Whether the issue involves a courtroom dispute, a criminal charge, a family matter, a business disagreement, or an important agreement or opportunity, Obi’s approach remains the same: understand the client’s objectives, identify the real risks and leverage points, and develop a strategy designed to move the matter forward.

Obi also maintains a trusted professional network across multiple industries and legal disciplines, allowing him to collaborate with or connect clients to experienced professionals when a matter requires additional expertise.

In addition to his legal practice, Obi is active in the Florida legal community and currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Jacksonville Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Obi is also a proud father of four daughters and maintains strong ties to both Florida and his hometown of Los Angeles.
